I came into UC Davis as a confused freshman. I started off in the Tercero dorms, where I made my first set of college friends! Coming from Elk Grove (a city 40 minutes away from Davis), I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to branch out and make new friends. During my freshman year, I was super focused on getting involved, finding a job, and at the same time, struggling with introductory biology and

chemistry classes. Transitioning into sophomore year, I started to finally get into the feel of things and started improving my work habits. I also moved out of the dorms and into an apartment! Junior year, was when COVID was at it's peak and school became online. It was sad to have this taken away from us, but it made me realize how valuable the in-person college experience is. I am so thankful to have chosen UC Davis as the college I spent four years of my life at, and looking back I am confident that I've made the most out it. I know a lot of students have mixed feelings about attending UCD, but I am extremely happy that I chose this school. Now that I'm a senior, I look back at all the new memories I've made, and am excited to see where life will take us after we graduate!
